Our research department

Our research is carried out in cooperation with Karolinska Institutet in Sweden.

The goal is to understand how people eat and regulate their body weight. People don’t eat because they need to satisfy a physiological need; they eat because there is cheap, tasty and calorie-rich food always easily available. Thus, far too many eat far too much and many of them become fat. To eat when the opportunity is given is part of our biological setup. Our development prepares us for starvation, a much more common condition than abundance. Eating when there is food is geared to its purpose; not a sign of disease.
